I think I put the book down no less than 8 times and just shook my head saying, “This is so sad”.

It is the story of three best friends who live in Vienna in 1936. What we come to find out is that two of them are Jewish and one is the son of a high ranking SS officer.

I will not give spoilers.

This is sad.
