  • New Blog & Follow up to Parent Meeting

Posted by Lee Ann Monroe on 8/14/2020

Good afternoon and welcome to my new blog! This will be a consistent spot to find general information about what's going on at NMHS and will serve as a way for me to build and maintain connection with our community. If you have any suggestions for information you'd like to see posted here, please email me at!

I want to thank everyone who was able to come out to the parent forum about our reopening plans last night. It was so nice to see all of your faces out from behind the screen! We tried to record this event so those not in attendance could view it, however, our recorder died. I apologize for the inconvenience and will do better next time. I am including a link to the questions we were able to answer here: Answers to Questions Everyone is encouraged to email myself or Principal Russell ( for further clarification or to follow up.

Addressed in our discussion but not in the above questions were some more specifics with regards to the daily schedule. Due to feedback received from families, students, and teachers, and in an effort to minimize contact between individuals, HS students will be taking three classes per semester rather than six all year. This should allow everyone to focus their time easier and provide a smoother transition to remote learning should the need arise. We have been able to preserve the majority of student requests/needs in this process and will be reaching out with specific schedules in the next two weeks.

    Enjoy your weekend!

    Meal Delivery:

Volunteer drivers needed for meal delivery in Northfield on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays

As a result of Governor Scott’s “Stay Home, Stay Safe” order March 25-April 15, we will no longer be providing meal delivery to the congregated stops in Northfield. Instead, we ask that you contact the school via phone or email to sign up for delivery directly to your house. We ask families to place a box or cooler outside your homes so that we can provide food at minimal risk. We also provide gloves to food distribution volunteers.

Food distribution Grab and Go will still take place 11:30-12:30 at NES on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays. PLEASE contact Kathy Robertson, or Lisa Goslant, or call 485-4500 to sign up to volunteer or to receive meal deliveries. We need the following information when you contact us: student name, address, phone number, dietary restrictions.

Please click here to ask Superintendent Bollard questions about the State-wide school dismissal

You will link to a Google Form where you can ask your questions. Thank you.
