Preschool Enrollment Process:
Central Vermont Supervisory Union Preschool registration for the 2026-2027 school year is open from March 1st to May 30, 2026.

Families will receive an email by June 5th, 2026 notifying them as to whether their child was placed into the program or placed onto the waitlist. Registration will remain open, and late registrants are placed in our program, or onto the waitlist, based on availability.

Confirmation of acceptance of preschool placement is due by June 19, 2026.  If we have not received confirmation of acceptance the applicant will lose their placement spot and it will be reopened for a child on the waitlist or for a late registrant.

All paperwork/documentation must be filed with the Main Office of the school in your town of residence by June 19, 2026. If a preschool registration file is not complete by June 19, 2026 the applicant will lose their placement spot and it will be reopened for a child on the waitlist or for a late registrant.

Important: The Preschool Program is not first come, first served. Applications received in the initial application window will be prioritized according to the following criteria:

1. Returning Students
2. Students who are qualified under Essential Early Education (EEE) or Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA) guidelines or need Multilingual Learner instruction.
3. Students enrolled in Head Start.*
4. Students turning 4 before Sept 1, 2026.*
5. Students turning 3 before Sept 1, 2026.*
6. Repeat Steps 1-5 with other CVSU students who reside in Washington, Orange, Williamstown and Northfield.
7. Non-resident age eligible students.**

**If you live outside Washington, Orange, Williamstown, or Northfield and want to apply for preschool at one of these schools, please register your child with the registrar at your home town's school first. Click here for more information on how to register or enroll with a school. The second step is to complete the CVSU registration online or by paper packet provided by the registrar.
