    Marauder of the Month:

The final Marauder of the Month for this unique school year felt like a no brainer.   As a student whose first love isn’t math, she has risen to the occasion, in fact risen to the occasion in EVERY class, during this challenging school year!  She is a model student that makes every meeting, meets every due date, and is comfortable speaking up and explaining right answers.   The heartfelt and uniform praise for her has been overwhelming!

For her interdisciplinary project, she attends every Meet, even those optional ones!  She stays on top of her assignments and submits her best work!  She has been spot on during distance learning, with positive contributions to discussions and consistent punctuality and attitude.  Her goal is to have learning be “business as usual.”

She is a “steady rock” in Art II and health,  who is “fantastic and dedicated” were his words about how well she is doing during these difficult times.

She also rocked her work on the year-long science fair project, working incredibly hard!  She has continued working on her project (winter food preferences for birds) while home, and has been keeping an eye on birds with new feeders at her house.

Remote learning can be a lonely time, and we all benefit from positive interaction.  It is this student’s positive attitude and regular engagement that are very appreciated by all of the adults interacting with her this spring.  As Ms. Sellars said, “during this strange time of teaching and learning, students like her are the positive inspiration teachers need!”

Please give a remote round of applause to the May Marauder of the Month, Jillian Bijolle.

The WCAX tribute to our seniors ran last night at the end of the 6:00 news - in case you missed it, here’s the link to check out!

2020 Graduates: Northfield High School https://www.wcax.com/content/misc/2020-Graduates-Northfield-High-School-570950081.html

Library books: You may have received an overdue notice that was automatically emailed by the library system yesterday (Mrs. Kissel thought she had found the magic off switch for those, but apparently not!) There are no overdue fines so you don’t need to worry about renewing the overdue books. Please just keep track of where they are for now and you will be able to return your library books when you drop off your school computer.
