I am excited to be teaching special education in the Life Skills classroom this year with Carol Manahan.  Prior to WMHS, I worked as a paraeducator in Montpelier schools.  My husband, Aaron, and I have 3 children: our son is a freshman in college, and our daughters are in 10th and 6th grade.  I earned my B. A. in History at St. Michael's College.  My hobbies include camping, biking, gardening, and being involved with Scouts and my faith community.

Carol Manahan

I have been teaching special education at Williamstown Middle High School since 2003.  I was born and raised in VT, and after 4 years away for college, and a year in NYC, I came back to VT. I love coaching Unified Sports.   I enjoy puzzles, Harry Potter, Marvel movies, and enjoying time with my family including our two kittens.  My husband, son and I share a duplex with my parents.

I am the special educator for grades six and seven.  I’m currently in my 28th year teaching special education and am starting my 5th year here at Williamstown Middle/High School.  In my off time I am passionate about biking, skiing, running and playing bass in a classic rock band. I have a daughter at Harwood Union HIgh school and a five year old son entering Thatcher Brook Elementary School in Waterbury.  I have found the Williamstown community to be a welcoming and supportive community and feel fortunate to have the opportunity to work with your son or daughter this 2019/20 school year.

Cathy Tumulty

My name is Cathy Tumulty. I am a special education teacher who supports grades 6 through 9, providing instruction in reading, writing and math skills to individuals and small groups of students.  This is my 7th year at Williamstown, but I have been teaching in various capacities for 20 years prior to coming to this very welcoming community. I especially enjoy teaching reading, as it has long been a passion of mine that I love to share with others.  I live in Orange, Vermont with my husband, Paul, and Abbie, a very independent cat, as our children are all grown up and having adventures of their own. I very much enjoy working with students, giving them the skills they will need to build their future and support them in their own adventures.
