B.A. Music Performance M.A. Curriculum and instruction (Pending)

Ms. Oliver

Hello Williamstown School families,

My name is Kathryn Oliver and I am the performance arts teacher for PreK-7 in our Williamstown schools. I teach band, general music and chorus. I graduated from Northern Vermont University in 2007 with a degree in music: Jazz and contemporary performance, to be specific. I am currently in the graduate program to receive a Master's in education. My main instruments are singing and piano but I enjoy many others as well. I also have competed internationally with an a capella group, and have had experience with dozens of musical theater productions in different venues over the years. I have been working with youth in our area for the past fifteen years and this is my fifth year working for the Williamstown schools.

I enjoy working with young people and love sharing the joy, creativity and expression music and performance can bring into our lives and community!

Fourth and fifth grade students and families:

In order to keep every one safe we have had to adjust for the year. Below I have posted the announcement from our district in regards to vocal and instrument studies; but I do hope the time comes soon that performances and creating chorus and band music together will be embraced! Have a great 2020-2021 school year!

Dear CVSU Families,

Due to the health and safety regulations put forth by the CDC and by the State of Vermont surrounding the pandemic, NES and WES are unable to offer beginning instrumental lessons or beginning choral instruction for the 2020-21 school year.  It is our hope to once again offer these facets of our music curriculum for the 2021-22 school year.  Thank you for your continued patience, understanding, and support of your school’s musical endeavors.
