    Thursday Meal Sign Up

Today we are asking an additional question about Wednesday meal sign ups. If you would like to bring extra food home on Tuesday, please answer "yes" to the last question on the sign up!

Also, take a second to check out the "Question of the Day," brought to you by one of our students. It's just a little something for fun!

    Tuesday Meal Sign Up

Welcome back everyone!! It's so great to see you all back in the building and we hope you were able to enjoy some rest and relaxation while on break. Just a reminder to keep those masks up, maintain a 6 foot distance, and wash your hands regularly!

    Monday, 11/30 Meal Sign Up

Congratulations to our Marauder of the Month, senior Devin Audette! He encompasses our values of curiosity, compassion, and courage, while also adding the "c's" of commitment, consistency, and character!

I am so thankful for our Northfield community! Our teachers and staff have risen to the challenge of not only teaching our students in the face of a pandemic but of also building a sense of togetherness during this time of distancing. Our students have been AMAZING in their adjustment to wearing masks all day, minimizing movement between cohorts, and changing up our day-to-day learning. And lastly, our community has trusted us with their children while facing their own pandemic struggles - thank you for your support and ongoing adherence to the ever changing guidelines for saftey.

    Have a very happy Thanksgiving!!

    Lee Ann

  • New location for daily breakfast & lunch sign up!

Posted by Lee Ann Monroe on 11/2/2020

Good Morning, NMHS! In an effort to make signing up for breakfast and lunch easier than ever, we will be posting the form in this blog daily. Please check this form each day during advisory to ensure you are signed up for meals the following day. Please keep in mind this is a funky week as we are remote on Tuesday, 11/3 and Wednesday, 11/4, so you will only be signing up for Thursday and Friday!

    Thursday's Form

While we're talking about meals, families, please be sure to complete the free and reduced lunch forms even though all food is free to students this year. These forms help the school receive a substantial amount of money - if they are not filled out, we don't receive the money!

  • New Blog & Follow up to Parent Meeting

Posted by Lee Ann Monroe on 8/14/2020

Good afternoon and welcome to my new blog! This will be a consistent spot to find general information about what's going on at NMHS and will serve as a way for me to build and maintain connection with our community. If you have any suggestions for information you'd like to see posted here, please email me at!

I want to thank everyone who was able to come out to the parent forum about our reopening plans last night. It was so nice to see all of your faces out from behind the screen! We tried to record this event so those not in attendance could view it, however, our recorder died. I apologize for the inconvenience and will do better next time. I am including a link to the questions we were able to answer here: Answers to Questions Everyone is encouraged to email myself or Principal Russell ( for further clarification or to follow up.

Addressed in our discussion but not in the above questions were some more specifics with regards to the daily schedule. Due to feedback received from families, students, and teachers, and in an effort to minimize contact between individuals, HS students will be taking three classes per semester rather than six all year. This should allow everyone to focus their time easier and provide a smoother transition to remote learning should the need arise. We have been able to preserve the majority of student requests/needs in this process and will be reaching out with specific schedules in the next two weeks.

    Enjoy your weekend!

  • WCAX Celebrates NMHS Seniors

During the last 15 minutes of the 6:00 news on Tuesday, June 2, WCAX featured a scrolling list of NMHS seniors, complete with a recorded message and our logo. If you missed it, the recording is posted on

    Meal Delivery:

Volunteer drivers needed for meal delivery in Northfield on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays

As a result of Governor Scott’s “Stay Home, Stay Safe” order March 25-April 15, we will no longer be providing meal delivery to the congregated stops in Northfield. Instead, we ask that you contact the school via phone or email to sign up for delivery directly to your house. We ask families to place a box or cooler outside your homes so that we can provide food at minimal risk. We also provide gloves to food distribution volunteers.

Food distribution Grab and Go will still take place 11:30-12:30 at NES on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays. PLEASE contact Kathy Robertson, or Lisa Goslant, or call 485-4500 to sign up to volunteer or to receive meal deliveries. We need the following information when you contact us: student name, address, phone number, dietary restrictions.

Please click here to ask Superintendent Bollard questions about the State-wide school dismissal

You will link to a Google Form where you can ask your questions. Thank you.
